Scene 1 · Intermediate
Once upon a time there was a little girl whom everyone loved as soon as they saw her. No one loved her as much as her grandmother, who would have given her anything. One day her grandmother gave her a little hood made of red velvet. It suited the girl so well that she never wanted to wear anything else on her head.
Slik fikk hun navnet Rødhette.
That was how she got the name Little Red Riding Hood.
Choose Intermediate when you can follow connected storytelling in Norwegian and want more of the original story’s detail and nuance. Read a passage for its overall meaning, then return to unfamiliar expressions with the English translation and audio. Compare the Beginner edition when you want a gentler read.
Intermediate is LingoPlasty’s most detailed story band, rather than a formal B1 or B2 classification. If you study at B1 or B2, use the sample to judge the reading challenge. The same story may be available at Beginner if you prefer more support.
