Scene 1 · Intermediate
Daardoor noemde iedereen haar Roodkapje.
Once upon a time there was a sweet little girl whom everyone loved. But no one loved her as much as her grandmother, who would have given her anything. One day, her grandmother gave her a little red velvet cap. It suited her so well that from then on she didn’t want to wear anything else. That’s why everyone called her Red Riding Hood.
Choose Intermediate when you can follow connected storytelling in Dutch and want more of the original story’s detail and nuance. Read a passage for its overall meaning, then return to unfamiliar expressions with the English translation and audio. Compare the Beginner edition when you want a gentler read.
Intermediate is LingoPlasty’s most detailed story band, rather than a formal B1 or B2 classification. If you study at B1 or B2, use the sample to judge the reading challenge. The same story may be available at Beginner if you prefer more support.
