Jesus fortalte om en mann som hadde to sønner. En dag sa den yngste til faren sin: «Far, gi meg min del av det du eier.»
Jesus told a story about a man who had two sons. One day the younger son said to his father, “Father, give me my share of what you own.”
Faren delte derfor det han eide mellom de to sønnene sine. Bare noen dager senere samlet den yngste sammen alt han hadde fått og dro til et land langt borte.
So the father divided what he owned between his two sons. Just a few days later, the younger son gathered up everything he had been given and left for a faraway country.
