Jesus contou a seguinte história: Um homem tinha dois filhos. Um dia, o mais novo fez um pedido ao pai: — Pai, me dê a parte dos seus bens que cabe a mim.
Jesus told the following story: A man had two sons. One day, the younger one made a request of his father: “Father, give me the share of your estate that belongs to me.”
O pai, então, dividiu seus bens entre os dois filhos. Poucos dias depois, o mais novo reuniu tudo o que tinha e partiu para um país distante.
So the father divided his property between his two sons. A few days later, the younger son gathered everything he had and left for a distant country.
