Scene 1 · Beginner
A woman very much wanted a little child, but she had no children. One day she went to a fairy and asked her for help.
– Meg tudná mondani, hol találhatnék egy kisgyermeket? – kérdezte.
“Could you tell me where I might find a little child?” she asked.
A tündér egy árpaszemet, egy apró magot adott neki.
The fairy gave her a grain of barley, a tiny seed.
“This is a special grain of barley. Plant it in a flowerpot and see what happens!”
The woman thanked her for the help and paid twelve shillings for the grain of barley.
