Dawno temu w Chinach żył cesarz. Miał najpiękniejszy pałac na świecie. Cały budynek był z porcelany. Kosztował bardzo dużo, ale łatwo było coś w nim stłuc, więc wszyscy musieli uważać.
Long ago in China, there lived an emperor. He had the most beautiful palace in the world. The whole building was made of porcelain. It cost a great deal, but it was easy to break something in it, so everyone had to be careful.
W cesarskim ogrodzie rosły niezwykłe kwiaty. Przywiązano do nich małe srebrne dzwonki, żeby ludzie zwracali na kwiaty uwagę. Ogród był tak wielki, że nawet ogrodnik nie wiedział, gdzie się kończy.
Unusual flowers grew in the emperor’s garden. Small silver bells were tied to them so people would notice the flowers. The garden was so large that even the gardener didn’t know where it ended.
