English translation
This is the story of how God created the earth and the heavens. In the beginning, there were no plants in the fields yet. God had not made it rain, and there was no man to work the land. But a mist rose from the ground and watered all the land.

Deus fez um homem com o pó do chão. Ele soprou o ar da vida no nariz do homem, e o homem começou a viver. Esse homem era Adão.
English translation
God made a man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man came to life. This man was Adam.
