Scene 1 · Beginner
Dumnezeu îl formează pe Adam din țărână
God forms Adam from dust
English translation
At the beginning, God made the heavens and the earth. No plants were growing in the field yet because God had not sent rain. There was no one to work the ground. Still, a mist rose from the ground and watered it.
English translation
God made the first man, Adam, from dust—that is, from dry, fine soil. Then he breathed life into his nostrils, and Adam became a living being.
