Jézus a tanítványaival Gecsemánéba ment. A tanítványoknak azt mondta, hogy üljenek le, amíg ő imádkozik. Pétert és Zebedeus két fiát azonban magával vitte. Nagyon szomorú volt, és sokat szenvedett.
Jesus went to Gethsemane with his disciples. He told the disciples to sit down while he prayed. But he took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him. He was very sad and suffered greatly.
– Olyan szomorú vagyok, hogy majdnem belehalok – mondta nekik. – Maradjatok itt velem, és ne aludjatok el!
“I am so sad that I could die,” he told them. “Stay here with me, and don’t fall asleep!”
