Scene 1 · Beginner
God forms Adam from dust
English translation
When God created the heavens and the earth, nothing yet grew in the fields. God had not yet sent rain, and there were no people to work the land. But mist rose from the earth and made it moist.
English translation
God created a man, Adam, from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and Adam became a living person.
