Scene 1 · Intermediate
God forms Adam from dust
English translation
This is the story of how God created heaven and earth. At that time, there were no plants of the field on earth yet, and no grass had sprouted: God had not yet sent rain. There was no person to work the ground, either. But mist rose from the earth and moistened the whole surface of the ground.
English translation
God formed a man, Adam, from the dust of the earth. He breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.
