Seregek a völgy két oldalán

Armies face across the valley

English translation

The Philistines gathered their armies to go to war. They assembled at Socoh in Judah, then camped between Socoh and Azekah, at Ephes-dammim. King Saul and the men of Israel camped in the Valley of Elah and drew up in battle formation against the Philistines.

Hungarian

A két sereg egymással szemben helyezkedett el: a filiszteusok az egyik hegyen álltak, Izrael katonái a másikon. Közöttük húzódott a völgy.

English translation

The two armies faced each other: the Philistines stood on one hill, and the soldiers of Israel on the other. The valley lay between them.
