A molnár dicsekvése
The miller's boast
English translation
Once upon a time, there was a poor miller who had a beautiful daughter. One day, he was talking to the king, and, wanting to seem important, he boasted:
“I have a daughter who can spin straw into gold.”
English translation
“That is a skill very much to my liking,” replied the king. “If your daughter is as skilled as you claim, bring her to my palace tomorrow. I want to put her to the test.”
