Kung Dareios valde 120 män som skulle styra olika delar av hans rike. De skulle berätta om sitt arbete för tre män som hade mer ansvar. En av de tre var Daniel. Han gjorde sitt arbete bättre än de andra, och kungen funderade på att låta honom styra hela riket.

King Darius chose 120 men to govern different parts of his kingdom. They were to report on their work to three men who had greater responsibility. One of the three was Daniel. He did his work better than the others, and the king was considering putting him in charge of the whole kingdom.
