El rey Darío eligió a ciento veinte gobernadores para administrar su reino. Debían informar a tres jefes, que vigilaban su trabajo para evitar pérdidas al rey. Uno de esos jefes era Daniel.
King Darius chose one hundred and twenty governors to administer his kingdom. They had to report to three chiefs, who watched over their work to prevent losses for the king. Daniel was one of those chiefs.
Daniel tenía un espíritu excepcional y hacía su trabajo mejor que los demás. Por eso el rey pensó en darle autoridad sobre todo el reino.
Daniel had an exceptional spirit and did his work better than the others. So the king thought about giving him authority over the whole kingdom.
