Egy gazdag ember felesége súlyosan megbetegedett. Amikor megérezte, hogy hamarosan meghal, az ágyához hívta egyetlen lányát.
A rich man's wife fell seriously ill. When she sensed that she would soon die, she called her only daughter to her bedside.
– Drága gyermekem, maradj jó, és tiszteld Istent. Akkor a jó Isten mindig megvéd téged. Én pedig az égből nézek majd le rád, és mindig közel leszek hozzád.
“My dear child, be good and honor God. Then the good Lord will always protect you. And I will look down on you from heaven and always be close to you.”

Then she closed her eyes and died. The girl visited her mother's grave every day and wept. She continued to be good and believe in God, just as her mother had asked her to.
