Um homem tinha um burro que trabalhou para ele durante muitos anos. O burro carregava sacos de grãos até o moinho, mas estava ficando velho e fraco. Já não conseguia trabalhar como antes.
A man had a donkey that had worked for him for many years. The donkey carried sacks of grain to the mill, but he was growing old and weak. He could no longer work as he had before.
O dono começou a pensar em como deixar de gastar dinheiro com a comida do animal. O burro percebeu que estava em perigo e fugiu. Pegou a estrada para Bremen, pois achava que podia ser músico da cidade.
The owner began to think about how he could stop spending money on food for the animal. The donkey realized he was in danger and ran away. He took the road to Bremen, because he thought he could be a musician in the city.
