A szamár Brémába indul

The donkey leaves for Bremen

English translation

A man had an old donkey. For many years, the donkey carried sacks full of grain to the mill, but now it was getting harder and harder for him to work. His owner no longer wanted to spend money feeding him, so he wanted to get rid of him.

English translation

The donkey sensed that he was in danger and ran away. He set off for Bremen. He thought he could become a town musician there.
