Räven smickrar kråkan

The fox flatters the crow

English translation

A fox saw a crow fly away with a piece of cheese in her beak. The crow settled on a branch. The fox wanted the cheese, so he went over and stood beneath the tree.

English translation

“Good day, Mrs. Crow!” he called. “What fine, glossy feathers you have! You must have the most beautiful voice of all the birds. Sing me a song, and I will call you the queen of the birds.”
