The fox flatters the crow
English translation
A fox saw a crow flying with a piece of cheese in her beak. The crow landed on a tree branch. The fox wanted to get the cheese, so he went over to the tree.
Romanian
I-a lăudat penele lucioase, apoi a adăugat:
English translation
He greeted the crow politely and told her she looked very beautiful. He praised her shiny feathers, then added:
“Mrs. Crow, I’m sure your voice is more beautiful than that of the other birds. Sing me a song, so I can call you the Queen of the Birds!”
