God vormt Adam uit stof
God forms Adam from dust
English translation
This is the story of how the heavens and the earth came into being, when God created them. No plants had yet grown in the fields, and no crops had yet sprouted. For God had not yet caused it to rain, and there was no one to work the ground.
English translation
But a mist rose from the earth, making the whole ground damp.
English translation
God formed the man, Adam, from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man came to life.
