Scene 1 · Intermediate

Isten megformálja Ádámot a porból

God forms Adam from dust

English translation

This is the story of how heaven and earth came into being when God created them. At that time, no plants had yet grown in the fields, and no grass had sprung up, because God had not yet sent rain on the earth. No human lived there who could cultivate the soil. But a mist rose from the ground and moistened the whole surface.

English translation

God formed the man, Adam, from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.
