A strange yellow egg

Op een dag ging een boer naar het nest van zijn gans. Daar lag een geel ei dat glansde. Hij pakte het op en merkte dat het heel zwaar was. Hij dacht dat iemand een grap met hem maakte en wilde het ei weggooien. Maar hij veranderde van gedachten en nam het mee naar huis.

One day, a farmer went to his goose’s nest. There lay a gleaming yellow egg. He picked it up and noticed that it was very heavy. He thought someone was playing a trick on him and wanted to throw the egg away. But he changed his mind and took it home.

Al snel ontdekte hij dat het ei helemaal van goud was. Hij was er erg blij mee.

Soon he discovered that the egg was made entirely of gold. He was very happy about it.

Elke ochtend vond de boer weer zo’n ei. Hij verkocht de eieren en werd al snel rijk.

Every morning, the farmer found another egg like that. He sold the eggs and soon became rich.
