Jesus foi com seus discípulos a um lugar chamado Getsêmani. Ao chegarem, ele disse: — Sentem-se aqui enquanto eu vou ali orar.
Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane. When they arrived, he said: “Sit here while I go over there to pray.”
Levou consigo Pedro e os dois filhos de Zebedeu. Uma tristeza profunda e uma grande angústia começaram a tomar conta dele.
He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him. A deep sadness and great anguish began to take hold of him.
— Estou tão triste que sinto que vou morrer — disse Jesus aos três. — Fiquem aqui e permaneçam acordados comigo.
“I’m so sad I feel as if I’m going to die,” Jesus said to the three. “Stay here and keep watch with me.”
