Jesus kam mit seinen Jüngern nach Gethsemane. Dort sagte er zu ihnen: „Setzt euch hierher. Ich gehe dort drüben beten.“
Jesus came to Gethsemane with his disciples. There he said to them: “Sit here. I’m going over there to pray.”
Petrus und die beiden Söhne des Zebedäus nahm er mit. Er war tief traurig und erschüttert. „Ich bin so verzweifelt, dass ich es kaum ertragen kann“, sagte er zu ihnen. „Bleibt hier und wacht mit mir.“
He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him. He was deeply sorrowful and distressed. “I am so overwhelmed with sorrow that I can hardly bear it,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch with me.”
