La esposa de un hombre rico estaba muy enferma. Antes de morir, llamó a su única hija y le dijo: «Hija querida, sé buena y confía en Dios. Él siempre te protegerá. Yo estaré cerca de ti desde el cielo». Después cerró los ojos y murió.
A rich man's wife was very ill. Before she died, she called her only daughter and said, “Dear daughter, be good and trust in God. He will always protect you. I will be close to you from heaven.” Then she closed her eyes and died.
La joven iba todos los días a la tumba de su madre y lloraba. Siguió siendo buena y rezando a Dios. Durante el invierno, la nieve cubrió la tumba. Cuando llegó la primavera, su padre ya tenía otra esposa.
The young woman went to her mother's grave every day and cried. She continued to be good and pray to God. During the winter, snow covered the grave. When spring came, her father already had another wife.
