Prinsessen ved brønden

The princess by the well

Long ago, a king lived in a castle. He had several daughters, and the youngest was the most beautiful of them all. Near the castle was a large, dark forest. There was a well under an old tree in the forest. On hot days, the princess often sat by the well, where it was cool.

When she was bored, she would toss her golden ball into the air and catch it again. It was her favorite toy.
