Régen, amikor a kívánságok még teljesültek, élt egy király. Minden lánya szép volt, de a legkisebb volt a legszebb.
Long ago, when wishes still came true, there lived a king. All his daughters were beautiful, but the youngest was the most beautiful.
A kastély mellett nagy, sötét erdő volt. Az erdőben, egy öreg fa alatt kút állt. Meleg napokon a legkisebb királylány szívesen ült a kút mellett, ahol hűvös volt. Gyakran az aranylabdájával játszott: feldobta, aztán elkapta. Ez volt a kedvenc játéka.
Beside the castle was a large, dark forest. In the forest, under an old tree, there was a well. On warm days, the youngest princess liked to sit beside the well, where it was cool. She often played with her golden ball: she tossed it up and caught it. It was her favorite game.
