Há muito tempo, vivia um rei com suas filhas. Todas eram bonitas, mas a mais nova era a mais bonita de todas.
Long ago, a king lived with his daughters. They were all beautiful, but the youngest was the most beautiful of all.
Perto do castelo havia uma grande floresta. No meio das árvores ficava um poço. Nos dias de muito calor, a princesa gostava de se sentar ali, onde era mais fresco. Ela levava sua bola de ouro, seu brinquedo favorito. Para se divertir, jogava a bola para cima e a pegava de novo.
Near the castle was a large forest. In the middle of the trees stood a well. On very hot days, the princess liked to sit there, where it was cooler. She took her golden ball, her favorite toy, with her. To have fun, she tossed the ball into the air and caught it again.
