Scene 1 · Beginner

Havkongens slot

The Sea King's castle

English translation

Far out at sea, the water is blue and clear. It is very deep. Even if you stacked many church towers one on top of another, they still would not reach from the seabed to the surface. Flowers and plants grow on the seabed, and fish large and small swim among the leaves.

English translation

The Sea King’s palace stands in the deepest part of the sea. Its walls are built of coral, and its windows are made of clear amber. The roof is made of seashells that open and close in the water. Inside each shell lies a pearl.
