Muito longe, no meio do oceano, o mar é azul, claro e muito profundo. É ali que vivem o Rei do Mar e seu povo. No fundo crescem plantas que balançam com a água, e os peixes nadam entre seus galhos.
Far away, in the middle of the ocean, the sea is blue, clear, and very deep. That is where the Sea King and his people live. Plants grow on the ocean floor, swaying in the water, and fish swim among their branches.
Na parte mais profunda fica o castelo do rei. Suas paredes são de coral, e suas grandes janelas são de âmbar, uma pedra clara. No telhado há conchas que abrem e fecham com o movimento do mar. Dentro de cada uma brilha uma pérola.
The king’s castle stands in the deepest part of the sea. Its walls are made of coral, and its large windows are made of amber, a light-colored stone. On the roof are shells that open and close with the movement of the sea. A pearl shines inside each one.
