Πριν από πολλά χρόνια, ζούσε ένας βασιλιάς με τις όμορφες κόρες του. Η μικρότερη κόρη του ήταν η πιο όμορφη από όλες. Κοντά στο κάστρο υπήρχε ένα μεγάλο δάσος. Εκεί, κάτω από ένα παλιό δέντρο, βρισκόταν ένα πηγάδι.
Many years ago, a king lived with his beautiful daughters. His youngest daughter was the most beautiful of them all. Near the castle was a great forest. There, beneath an old tree, was a well.

On hot days, the princess went into the forest and sat near the cool water. She played with a golden ball, throwing it high and catching it again. It was her favorite game.
