A strange yellow egg

English translation

One day, a farmer found a shiny yellow egg in his goose’s nest. He picked it up and saw that it was very heavy. He thought someone was playing a joke on him. He wanted to throw the egg away.

English translation

But he thought it over and took the egg home. There he was delighted to discover that it was made entirely of gold. Every morning he found another egg just like it. He sold them and soon became rich.
