Un soldado volvía a casa después de la guerra. Caminaba con su mochila a la espalda y una espada al costado. En el camino encontró a una vieja bruja de aspecto terrible.
A soldier was returning home after the war. He walked with his backpack on his back and a sword at his side. On the road, he met a frightening-looking old witch.
«Puedes conseguir todo el dinero que quieras», le dijo ella.
“You can get all the money you want,” she told him.
Le mostró un gran árbol. Por dentro estaba vacío.
She showed him a big tree. It was hollow inside.
«Sube al árbol y busca un agujero. Por allí puedes bajar al interior. Voy a atarte una cuerda al cuerpo. Cuando me llames, tiraré de la cuerda para sacarte».
“Climb the tree and look for a hole. You can climb down inside through it. I’ll tie a rope around you. When you call me, I’ll pull the rope to get you out.”
