Scene 1 · Beginner

En flitig myra på sommaren

A busy ant in summer

English translation

One summer day, a grasshopper was hopping around in a field. It played music and sang. An ant passed by on its way home to its nest. It was carrying an ear of grain and struggling with it.

Swedish

”Varför jobbar du så hårt?” frågade gräshoppan. ”Kom och prata med mig en stund!”

English translation

“Why are you working so hard?” asked the grasshopper. “Come and talk to me for a while!”

English translation

“I’m helping gather food for the winter,” replied the ant. “You should do that too.”

English translation

The grasshopper didn’t think it needed to think about winter. After all, there was plenty of food just then. The ant went on its way with its ear of grain and continued working.
