Scene 1 · Beginner

Egy dolgos hangya nyáron

A busy ant in summer

Hungarian

Egy nyári napon egy tücsök ugrált a mezőn, és vidáman énekelt. Egy hangya ment el mellette. A hangya egy gabonakalászt vitt haza a bolyba, és nehezen haladt.

English translation

One summer day, a cricket hopped around in a field and sang happily. An ant passed by. The ant was carrying an ear of grain back to the anthill and struggling to make progress.

Hungarian

– Miért dolgozik ilyen sokat? Jöjjön, beszélgessen velem! – mondta a tücsök.

English translation

“Why are you working so hard? Come and talk with me!” said the cricket.

Hungarian

– Segítek élelmet gyűjteni télire – felelte a hangya. – Önnek is ezt tanácsolom.

English translation

“I’m helping gather food for the winter,” the ant replied. “I advise you to do the same.”

Hungarian

A tücsök szerint nem kellett a télre gondolni, mert most bőven volt ennivaló. A hangya azonban továbbment, és dolgozott tovább.

English translation

The cricket thought there was no need to think about winter, because there was plenty of food now. But the ant went on and kept working.
