Scene 1 · Intermediate

Slottet af porcelæn

The porcelain palace

English translation

Many years ago, the emperor of China lived in the most beautiful palace in the world. It was made entirely of precious porcelain, so fine and fragile that you had to be careful even when touching the walls. In the garden, tiny silver bells were tied to the most unusual flowers.

English translation

Whenever anyone walked past, the bells rang so that no one could help noticing the flowers. The garden stretched so far that even the gardener did not know where it ended.
