A busy ant in summer

English translation

One summer day, a grasshopper was hopping and singing in a field. An ant passed by, struggling to carry food to its nest.

English translation

“Why are you working so hard? Come, let’s talk for a bit,” the grasshopper said to the ant.

English translation

“I'm helping gather food for the winter,” the ant replied. “You should do the same.”

English translation

But the grasshopper wasn't worried about winter, because there was plenty of food now. The ant continued on its way and went on working.
