En varm sommerdag gikk en rev gjennom en frukthage. Der så han en klase med druer som hang høyt oppe ved en gren. Druene var nesten modne.
One warm summer day, a fox walked through an orchard. There he saw a bunch of grapes hanging high up near a branch. The grapes were almost ripe.
«De druene vil jeg ha. Jeg er så tørst!» sa reven.
“I want those grapes. I’m so thirsty!” said the fox.
Han gikk noen skritt tilbake, løp fram og hoppet. Han var nær, men nådde ikke druene. Så gikk han tilbake, telte til tre og hoppet igjen. Denne gangen nådde han heller ikke opp.
He took a few steps back, ran forward, and jumped. He came close, but he didn’t reach the grapes. Then he went back, counted to three, and jumped again. He couldn’t reach them this time either.
