The fox jumps for the grapes

Hungarian

A szőlő éppen érett.

English translation

On a hot summer day, a fox walked among the fruit trees. It saw a bunch of grapes hanging high on a branch. The grapes were just ripe.

English translation

“I’ll eat some grapes, then I won’t be thirsty,” said the fox.

Hungarian

A szőlőt azonban most sem érte el.

English translation

It took a few steps back, then started running and jumped. It almost reached the grapes, but couldn’t pick them. It turned around, counted to three, and jumped again. But this time, too, it couldn’t reach the grapes.
