У одного человека был осёл, который много лет без устали возил на мельницу мешки с зерном. Но с возрастом силы осла убывали, и работать ему становилось всё труднее. Хозяин начал подумывать, как бы больше не тратиться на его корм. Почувствовав опасность, осёл сбежал и направился в Бремен.
English translation
A man had a donkey who had tirelessly carried sacks of grain to the mill for many years. But as the donkey grew older, his strength was failing, and work was becoming harder and harder for him. His master began to think about how he could avoid spending any more money on his feed. Sensing danger, the donkey ran away and set off for Bremen.
