Scene 1 · Beginner
A very wicked magician once made a strange mirror. In this mirror, everything good and beautiful looked small and ugly. Bad things looked ten times worse than they really were. Even the most beautiful countryside looked terrible, and people's faces changed so much that their friends could not recognize them.
The magician laughed at his work. He taught at a school of magic, and his students told everyone about the mirror. They claimed that it showed the world as it really was.
