Ein böser Zauberer macht einen besonderen Spiegel. Darin sieht alles Gute und Schöne klein und hässlich aus. Alles Schlechte wirkt dagegen viel größer und schlimmer. Selbst schöne Menschen sehen darin so anders aus, dass ihre Freunde sie kaum erkennen können.
English translation
An evil wizard makes a special mirror. In it, everything good and beautiful looks small and ugly. Everything bad, on the other hand, looks much bigger and worse. Even beautiful people look so different in it that their friends can hardly recognize them.

Der Zauberer lacht über seinen Spiegel. Seine Schüler erzählen überall davon. Sie behaupten, der Spiegel zeige die Welt so, wie sie wirklich ist.
English translation
The wizard laughs at his mirror. His students tell everyone about it. They claim the mirror shows the world as it really is.
