Μια ζεστή καλοκαιρινή μέρα, μια αλεπού περπατούσε ανάμεσα σε δέντρα με φρούτα. Εκεί είδε ένα τσαμπί σταφύλια ψηλά σε ένα κλαδί. Τα σταφύλια μόλις άρχιζαν να ωριμάζουν.
On a warm summer day, a fox was walking among fruit trees. There she saw a bunch of grapes high up on a branch. The grapes were just beginning to ripen.
«Αυτά τα σταφύλια θα με ξεδιψάσουν», είπε η αλεπού.
“Those grapes will quench my thirst,” said the fox.
Έκανε λίγα βήματα πίσω, πήρε φόρα και πήδηξε, αλλά δεν έφτασε τα σταφύλια. Πήγε πάλι πίσω και δοκίμασε άλλη μια φορά, όμως και πάλι δεν τα κατάφερε.
She took a few steps back, got a running start, and jumped, but she couldn't reach the grapes. She went back again and tried once more, but she still couldn't reach them.
