Figyelmeztetés a folyónál

A warning at the river

Hungarian

Isten ezért elküldte Mózest a folyóhoz, ahol reggel találkozhatott a fáraóval. Mózesnek magával kellett vinnie a botot, amely korábban kígyóvá változott.

English translation

Moses and Aaron spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, on behalf of the Israelites. But the king did not want to let the people go. So God sent Moses to the river, where he could meet Pharaoh in the morning. Moses had to take the staff that had earlier turned into a snake.

English translation

He had to tell the king God’s message: “Let my people go so they may serve me in the wilderness! If the staff strikes the water, the river water will turn to blood. The fish will die, the water will smell bad, and the Egyptians will not be able to drink it.”

English translation

God also commanded Aaron to stretch out his hand with his staff over the waters of Egypt. The water was to turn to blood not only in the river, but throughout the whole country, even in the containers.
