Mojżesz i Aaron rozmawiali z faraonem, królem Egiptu, w imieniu Izraelitów. Faraon nie chciał ich wypuścić.
Moses and Aaron spoke to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, on behalf of the Israelites. Pharaoh did not want to let them go.
God told Moses to meet Pharaoh by the river in the morning. Moses was to bring the staff that had once turned into a snake and tell the king God’s words: “Let my people go so they can serve me in the wilderness. Until now, you have not listened to me. Now, when the staff strikes the water, the river’s water will turn to blood. The fish will die, and the water will smell bad, so no one will be able to drink it.”
Wtedy poznasz, że jestem Panem.
“Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
Aaron miał wyciągnąć rękę z laską nad wodami Egiptu. Woda w rzekach, stawach, a nawet w drewnianych i kamiennych naczyniach miała zamienić się w krew.
Aaron was to stretch out his hand with the staff over the waters of Egypt. The water in the rivers and ponds, and even in wooden and stone containers, was to turn to blood.
