Scene 1 · Beginner
Men farao nektet.
Moses and Aaron asked Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, to let the Israelites go. But Pharaoh refused.
God said to Moses, “Meet Pharaoh by the river early tomorrow morning. Take the staff that turned into a snake. Tell him that he must let my people go so they can serve me.”
God said that the water would turn to blood when Moses struck the river with the staff. Then Pharaoh would understand who the Lord was. The fish would die, and the Egyptians would be unable to drink the water. Moses was also to tell Aaron to hold his staff over the water in Egypt. Then there would be blood throughout the land, even in containers made of wood and stone.
