Una advertencia junto al río
A warning at the river
English translation
Moses and Aaron represented the Israelites before Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. But the king refused to let them leave. God told Moses that his heart was stubborn and sent him to meet Pharaoh the next morning by the river. He was to bring the staff that had turned into a snake.
English translation
“Tell him that the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, demands that he let his people go to serve him in the wilderness. Since he has not listened, the river’s waters will turn to blood. The fish will die, the river will stink, and the Egyptians will be unable to drink from it.”
English translation
God also ordered Aaron to stretch out his staff over Egypt’s rivers, streams, ponds, and reservoirs. There would be blood throughout the country, even in containers made of wood and stone.
